Puerto Rican designer Mariana Vidal Goss (Vi-Go) is making a splash with her innovative two-in-one swimsuits. With a background in Marketing from USC and Fashion Design from Centro Moda in Puerto Rico, Mariana founded her brand in 2012, creating limited-edition pieces in her parents' home. Her swimwear journey began in 2015 when she crafted a reversible bikini for herself, igniting a passion that led to the official launch of Vigo Swim in 2016.

After three inspiring years in Miami, Mariana sought a more eco-conscious approach and moved to Costa Rica in 2017 to develop her brand sustainably. As demand for her designs grew, she expanded her team to include skilled seamstresses, ensuring her reversible bikinis were made with care. However, logistical challenges led her back to Puerto Rico in 2018, where she continued to prioritize sustainability.

During the 2020 pandemic, Mariana turned leftover fabric into fashionable, eco-friendly masks, blending necessity with her commitment to sustainable practices. She opened her dream storefront in Guaynabo, but management issues cut that chapter short. Believing everything happens for a reason, she partnered with a fellow entrepreneur in 2021 to create Moda Factory, a sublimation company focused on small and conscious production in San Juan. Now, from her vibrant studio shop on Calle Loíza, Mariana is dedicated to growing Vigo Swim and promoting sustainable fashion in every stitch!
